I'm so wildly excited & have to share the good news. I just found out I got a piece accepted into the erotic art show "The Dirty Show 8" here in Detroit. The piece is in my gallery if you want to check it out. It is called Hermaphroditos and Salamacis. This is a big first step towards my New Year's resolution of getting my artistic ass out there. It is a really scary thing putting yourself out there for all to see, but damn it sure is time. Not gettin any younger here.

Getting my work up on here is a statement to myself. It is time to do this. I've spent so many years teaching others how to be artists while neglecting my own life as an artist. That is something I am trying to change. While this is difficult considering I have a 5 month old baby, there are no more excuses. Today I finally finished a painting that I started over a year ago. That kind of procrastination is done. I have too much talent to let my life slip by without expressing it. Wish me luck. Today is a new day.
